Hi folks. A bit of info here for the curious. If you've watched my video reviews you'll probably have guessed by now that I'm a scouser (Liverpool born and raised for those who don't know the term). I'm 36 years old and for the past fifteen years have been studying various forms of psychology. Combined with my hobby of film making since 2003, this is basically what enables me to write my detailed and unusual film analysis'. In recent years I've become much more politically active, occasionally posting videos and articles on the subject, and am currently chairman of the Liverpool branch of the UK Independence Party.

My basic aim with this site is to promote public interest in advanced psychology and independent film making techniques. We all make use everyday of whatever psychological insights we have gained in life and so it is to everybody's benefit to actively progress their understanding of this amazing, but often tricky, subject. The articles I offer draw on a variety of sources (mostly sources that get little exposure or are usually treated separately) and I try to write them in a way that can easily be understood by the average Joe Bloggs rather than appealing to academics only.

As for film making, I consider this a great opportunity for ordinary everyday people. The cost of digital film making equipment is now at an all-time low. It's fun, it's educational and it gives you a powerful new communication medium in a society that is sadly turning away from the world of literature in preference of unbelievably mind-numbing forms of quick-fix entertainment. I'm keen to attract a lot of people away from the brain-numbing stuff and toward active self-education. The key seems to be ... make it interesting!

And back to the subject of Liverpool, I'd like to engage a moment of scousepride rhetoric ... Despite all the Capitol Of Culture stuff, scousers still suffer a bad reputation in many parts of Britain so there's a lot of work to be done. Scousers know they've got a lot to offer this country in terms of basic everyday human qualities - humour, straight talk, the ability to challenge authority and a willingness to give strangers the time of day. So for all you scousers who try to shed the evidence of your heritage when living in other parts of the country, be proud of your birthplace and do what you can to promote it.
